CALL FOR CONTRIBUTORS
Research-Technology Management Seeks Emerging Markets Contributors
Research-Technology Management, the award-winning journal of the Industrial Research Institute seeks contributors to provide regular discussions of innovation and innovation management in emerging markets.
RTM is a journal for practitioners by practitioners. We publish articles that map the cutting edge in R&D management, illustrate how management theory can be applied to real situations, and give R&D managers the tools to promote innovation throughout their organizational cultures. At present, we need one or two contributors to provide regular, short discussions of innovation developments and approaches in Africa, Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.
The dynamic economies in these regions are driving new models of innovation and new ways of applying accepted innovation management practice. What are the special challenges of innovating in a less-developed context? What do our (primarily U.S. and European) readers have to learn from entrepreneurs and innovators in India, China, Africa, and elsewhere? How will these businesses—and the people guiding them—reshape Western economies?
If you’ve thought about these questions—and have the experience, access, and writing ability to give power to your answers—RTM needs you! Our departments, which typically appear every other issue (three times a year), are shorter than our articles, typically running approximately 2,500 words. They are more tightly focused and tend to examine current issues from a practical standpoint. Above all, our departments offer concrete examples, models, and advice for working R&D managers.
If you’re interested in becoming our emerging markets contributor, please contact editor-in-chief Jim Euchner and managing editor MaryAnne Gobble. Give us a summary of your experience and qualifications—and if you have a short, relevant clip or writing sample, please provide it.
*****(Please note that this solicitation seeks unpaid, volunteer contributors. If you are a journalist with experience in business reporting in any of these regions, please contact the managing editor regarding freelance reporting opportunities.) *****
