TRIZ: The Science of Learning from Others
Jack Hipple, Principal, Innovation –TRIZ
Participate in this practical overview “TRIZ” (Russian acronym for “Theory of Inventive Problem Solving”), a “left brained” inventive process using patterns of innovation in the global patent literature to generalize breakthrough problem solving principles, allowing use of inventive principles from one technology to be utilized in another, shortening the time for breakthroughs. A constantly updated study of breakthrough patents continues to show that there are only 40 inventive principles associated with these inventions. This technology is in use by major corporations such as Siemens, BP, Dow Chemical, Unilever, S.C. Johnson, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing.
