ROR Stage: Report out
As baby boomers approach retirement age, companies experience an increasing need to capture the knowledge of seasoned staff members before they leave the workforce. This ROR investigated organizational practices that facilitate the exchange of knowledge with emphasis on tacit knowledge. Barriers to knowledge transfer were also identified and a matrix was developed indicating which practices are better for overcoming certain barriers. Join in the discussion of the value of linking these practices to each other and to innovation.
