I am interesting in reading some success stories from companies that have been able to make significant improvements in the integrity of data in their project portfolio management application. What specific processes, procedures, tools and/or techniques did you employ?

In response to your specific request regarding improving data integrity, we’ve found that the key is in reporting.  When you share the reports that are based on the data, it becomes obvious where gaps exist.  Those entering the data realize the importance and are inspired to improve the accuracy of the inputs.  When the reports aren’t shared, it’s assumed the inputs don’t matter so aren’t worth the effort.
