We put in place a cross functional – procurement, technology, product strategy group projecting our make, buy and development tactics in the various raw materials areas we need.  We then use this strategy document to guide the individual functional and cross functional projects to make it a reality and execute it.  It is revised annually and reviewed quarterly.

No real magic here.
