Two IRGs, composed of 15 to 20 persons each, were convened in 1993 and 1994, in cooperation with CIMS, to develop a comprehensive understanding on topics of current interest. The topics addressed were “R&D Leadership in the Corporation” and “Productivity in R&D,” respectively. A new subcommittee was created to carry on the work of the first IRG.
