R&D organizations are no longer seen as the sole, or even primary, source of innovation in most companies. In fact, an IBM Global Survey of CEOs identified R&D as the least productive source of innovative ideas. This interactive workshop gives research leaders insight on transforming their organizations from cost centers to growth engines. Ernst introduces several concepts central to fusing internal and external resources and the critical roles R&D should be playing (but often aren’t). Leaders take away tools and real-time ideas that can be immediately applied in their own organizations.
