The panel will present insights from academia and industry to share experiences into the effective management of global R&D with a focus on identifying the critical strategic, organizational, and operational issues involved and how they can be resolved by companies. Panelists will examine these critical issues with illustrative examples from practice and research. They will then derive lessons learned from these examples and explore implications for future prospects. The session will start with a 5-minute opening remarks by the organizer, followed by each panelist speaking for about 10 minutes. This will then be followed by a 15-minute panel discussion involving the panelists commenting on each other’s presentation. The session will end with 15-20 minutes of Q&A from the audience.
