How Will New Collaboration Methods Enable New Interactions?
Youngjin Yoo, PhD, Director, Center for Design+Innovation, Temple University
An increasing plethora of tools is available to help us collaborate both internally and externally. Innovation partner sources, IP management, crowd sourcing, and innovation challenges are just some examples of tools that can be utilized to help us collaborate, as well as remote working tools such as low cost video conferencing, and accessible data repositories. This opens up a range of opportunities and challenges in managing internal collaboration, but also a wider range of opportunities for collaborating externally and with nontraditional collaborators (maker communities, non-corporate entities, individuals). How can we leverage these collaborations and tools to take advantage of the opportunities that they bring.
