Breakthroughs in catalysis and processing technologies allow the industry to convert biological raw materials (plants, microorganisms, waste) into speciality chemicals and materials. These materials are in demand when they embody two important characterisics: bio-based and compelling performance attributes.
Elevance Renewable Sciences has been deeply involved at these intersections. Headquartered in Woodridge, Illinois, USA, Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc. is a high-growth specialty chemical company that creates novel specialty chemicals that perform better from renewable feed stocks, making the products that industry and consumers use every day better. Although only 7 years old, Elevance has designed, built and started a bio-refinery and then commercialized 5 products across 3 different markets in less than 24 months.
