The session will look at a comparison of published methodologies for determining the most innovative companies and will illustrate the shortcoming in these methodologies. Next, we will look at the definition of innovation, and types of innovation. We will consider the ways in which companies grow. We will consider first movers vs. fast followers, in both disruptive innovation and sustaining innovation paradigms. Lastly, we will make a hypothesis on what companies can do to remain positioned for growth over the long term.
