RTM - Bram de Zwart: Networked Manufacturing

My original plan was to become a car designer. I studied industrial design and engineering, and that’s where I discovered the power of three-dimensional (3D) printing, back in 2004. I was amazed by the fact that you could create a three-dimensional design in computer design software, click “3D print” and get an exact physical copy in your hands a few hours later. That was such a magical experience that I decided to throw out the car design plan and go into 3D printing.
