Where is Corporate Regulatory Affairs in your company?

We are in the process of examining our organizational structure and we would like to know where other organizations place the reporting structure for Corporate Regulatory Affairs with in the company. Is it a direct report to the President / COO? or does it report in via VP of Technical, VP of Operations, Corporate Counsel, other? In our case, Regulatory Affairs encompasses both Corporate EHS and Corporate Product Regulatory support (Product Stewardship). Thank you for your input. – David Yopak, Director of Regulatory Affairs, Teknor Apex Company

In our Company we have several Regulatory Affairs departments related to the different business groups as well as in regions and in service departments for the whole company.  The coordination is done via a group in the DSM Expert Center.  The DSM Expert Center is reporting to a member of the Managing Board

Our Regulatory affairs team reports into a VP of Government and Industry Affairs – a department that is specific to dealing with outside relationships with government and various industry groups.  The group is also responsible for all corporate communications = internally and externally.    This VP reports to the COO.
