Today's fast-paced, technology-driven environment requires companies to keep up with innovations in order to stay relevant. Some companies find success using agile methodologies that allow requirements and solutions to continually iterate in a responsive process. Join product managers from Armstrong Ceilings and other companies for a deep dive into agile case studies to understand this increasingly important innovation tool.
Innovation and adaptation have become imperatives for today's companies and entrepreneurs, but what does that mean in practice? The Innovation Leaders Speaker Series, presented in partnership by the Fox School of Business at Temple University, the Product Development and Management Association, and the Innovation Research Interchange, addresses the intersection between innovation and entrepreneurship, and features leaders in the field who have successfully put these principles into practice at organizations of all sizes and industries.
The panel will feature Steve Wilkinson, Director of Global Innovation at Armstrong World Industries, who develops and directs the company’s innovation pipeline and process. Also from Armstrong will be Jason Cavanaugh, an engineer who worked on Armstrong’s latest innovation, the ACOUSTIBuilt™ Ceiling System. Agile methodologies played a key role in the development of ACOUSTIBuilt™, which opened up a new line of business for the company. Armstrong World Industries, Inc. is a leader in the design and manufacture of innovative commercial and residential ceiling, wall and suspension system solutions in the Americas.
Also featured will be Tiffany Powley, Agile Coach and Program Manager at Dell Boomi, a cloud-based integration and data management business unit acquired by Dell in 2010. She will share the principles of agile methodology based on her experience as an agile coach, and will discuss how her teams build data management solutions in collaboration with diverse company resources, and release software incrementally for customers as part of agile processes.
