FEATURED SESSIONS AT DIGITAL FUTURES 2022:

OPENING KEYNOTE:

The future workforce is already here, it is just unevenly distributed

with Youngjin Yoo of Case Western Reserve University

People are a critical element of a “digital first” strategy. In this opening keynote, Youngjin Yoo of Case Western Reserve University will discuss how you can design a new human infrastructure that underpins your digital strategies. He will talk about how you can use technology to re-design your workforce configurations – both the current and future, how to re-think the work that people do, and how leaders can re-imagine their roles to more effectively guide the organization.

CASE STUDY:

Well-being in the workplace

The well-being of our team members is at the forefront of most leaders’ minds following the events of the last 2+ years. Many organizations have employee well-being programs, but even with these in place, mental health issues that need clinical intervention and/or counseling go undetected. Learn about proactive initiatives for staff well-being that TCS uses, including modeling and an interface that employees will actually use.

TALK:

A look into the future of manufacturing

with Minjun Kim of Southern Methodist University

Minjun Kim of Southern Methodist University will introduce an innovative reconfigurable modular robotic system which controls miniature components that can be actively assembled and disassembled on command. This type of system could potentially improve the robustness and controllability of small-scale additive manufacturing. The base components are miniature cubes that can achieve different motion patterns, such as such as pivot walking, tapping, and tumbling, which has huge potential for robotics and bioengineering.

WORKSHOP:

Developing digital competencies in non-analytics staff

with Goodyear Staff

Learn about Goodyear’s Data Champion program, which provides data analytics training for staff members who are new or want to expand their understanding of that digital competency. Goodyear staff will explain the program and the lessons they’ve learned in its development and implementation. You will then have the opportunity to explore how this might work in your organization.
