Social networks are developing into a vital form of communication within R&D organizations, projects and teams. Social networks enable firms to extend their reach beyond location and time zones and access innovation capabilities within the company and its associated networks.  Networks are  also enabling broad collaboration and knowledge creation that can improve a competitive edge.  This ROR sought to improve knowledge about how social networking is improving innovation process and inform members on the potential impact social networking has on an enterprise, the advantages or disadvantages of social networking and how the use of new technologies can impact the way firms innovate?
